Fred's ride

I'm hard at work collecting supplies for my Flintstone car. Captain ILL has generously provided several awesome photos of Fred's car from a recent Daily ILL pick. Today when I got home from work, I dug Fred out of storage (I might put him in the fridge to freak Bill out when he gets home later). This weekend I will take him shopping with me...for inspiration and because I think it will be a laugh. Look for the first project-in-progress photos on Monday.

A Jetson's car has got to be your next project. You could start with a casserole dish with a glass lid ... but I suppose that doesn't leave much room for cardboard.

Thanks bunches Joe, for reminding me about the Jetson project.
I was thinking that there must be a fabulous deli container and/or lid that could work for the top of George's car. I adore cardboard, but I try not to be a one-trick pony when it comes to creativity. Hey! I just realized that I have a small Scooby-doo action figure that could sub in for Astro. He could drive/fly the Jetson car. This is all well and good, but I need to focus on Fred's ride.

Looking forward to the pics. Will you be making Fred's ride strictly "stock," or will it be updated - a hybrid, for instance?
